DAY 1 – SWEET HONEYMOON TOUR IN LAOS: ARRIVAL – VIENTIANE CITY TOUR (D)

Upon your arrival then you will be met and transfer to hotel for check in, after that we start we explore the town; with Wat Sisaket which is the oldest temple still standing in Vientiane. This amazing structure features remarkable frescoes and Buddha images. We continue sightseeing by visiting Haw Prakeo, the former royal temple of Laos monarchy, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Statue. We then visit the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is well known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph before continuing to the famous That Luang Stupa.

DAY 2 SWEET HONEYMOON TOUR IN LAOS: VIENTIANE HONEYMOON TOUR TO VANG VIENG – ENJOY HALF DAY KAYAKING TOUR (B)

Breakfast at hotel, we drive 3 and half hours to Vang Vieng and the way we stop at km52 (Hmong market) and also fishing villages at Ban Houimor before we reached Vang Vieng then check in and take a short rest before we will be transferred from Vang Vieng to the Khmu village of Vieng Samay, about 10 km north of Vang Vieng. After an introduction to the basics of kayaking, the Nam Song offers various small but fun rapids on the way to the first stop at the cave of Tham Nam Thaem. This cave cuts straight through the mountain, so one emerges on the other side of the range for some panoramic views of the Nam Kouang valley.
A trek back over a small pass leads up to a Lao style picnic lunch on the riverside. The next paddle stop is at the Organic Farm, where mulberry tea and a variety of fruit wines are produced. 
The Tham Non Cave lies further downstream. As one of the biggest caves in Vang Vieng, it served as a rescue shelter for the villagers during the Second Indochina War. Today it is home to a bat colony and ‘The Magic Stone of Vang Vieng’. 
The final leg is a gentle paddle – before returning to Vang Vieng in time to catch the sunset from the terrace of the Ban Sabai Riverside Bungalows. 
Approximately: 15 minutes transfer / 4 hours kayaking / 1 hour caving / 1 hour hiking

DAY 3 SWEET HONEYMOON TOUR IN LAOS: VANG VIENG TRAVEL PACKAGE TOUR TO LUANG PRABANG (B/D)

As part of our half day tour of Vang Vieng, we explore the famous caves of Tham Jang, which was once used by the local people as a hideout from Chinese invaders. From there, we are heading up north. Our journey will climb up to summit of the hill where situate more than 1,300m above sea level. You enjoy spectacular view of mountain ranges and enjoy your lunch on the top of Mountain. After lunch, we head north up route 13 to Luang Prabang. The stunning mountain scenery makes for an interesting journey. After a couple of photo stops, we arrive in Luang Prabang early evening. Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, you are proceeding to hotel for check in then free at leisure time until we transfer for watching Royal ballet dance show and after that have dinner at some good local restaurant, after that we visit to the famous Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. DAY 4 SWEET HONEYMOON TOUR IN LAOS: LUANG PRABANG HONEYMOON TOUR AND KHUANG SI WATERFALL (B)

An early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (ubiquitous sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the procession

Breakfast, we visit the National Museum that was the former Royal Palace displays a lovely collection of the artefacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign and we then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a panoramic view of the city and the Mekong River and also the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture
We continue our excursion toward Khouangsi Waterfall, en route, we visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, Hmong Village, Ban Ou, Laoloum Village and Ban Thapene, Khmu Village, then drive to the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can splash around in the turquoise pools or walk along the forest trails. The Khouangsi Waterfall setting really illustrates paradise. We return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon and continue to Ban Xangkhong, a village well known for silk hand weaving and for traditional Saa Paper making. We return to the city by late evening to observe the sunset at Wat Phabath Tai. Overnight in Luang Prabang

DAY 5 SWEET HONEYMOON TOUR IN LAOS: LUANG PRABANG SIGHTSEEING TOUR TO BIG BROTHER – BAN KHIA LUANG AND PAK OU CAVES (B)

The day starts with a visit to the Big Brother Mouse shop to select some books for the village visit. We then head north by car along route 13, before taking a unpaved road to Ban Khia Luang village.We then have ample time to visit the school, play with the kids and watch them enjoy their new books.We also take some time to explore the rest of the village, where you can see weaving and visit the local temple. We stop for lunch at the village, which can either be a western picnic lunch, or traditional Lao food such as sticky rice, laap and fresh vegetables cooked by the villagers. After lunch we say good bye to the village and drive to Ban Khoklin, which takes us through some beautiful scenery of mountains and paddy fields. At Ban Khoklin we then board a private boat down the Nam Ou River for 30 minutes to Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims and continue down the Mekong River back to Luang Prabang, arriving back there by late afternoon. DAY 6 SWEET HONEYMOON TOUR IN LAOS: LUANG PRABANG TREKKING TOUR – ELEPHANT RIDING TOUR (B/L)

After a short ride out of town you and your local guide will arrive at the Elephant Village for a day of activities. The Elephant Village is located next to the Elephant Lodge about 15 km out of town and in the middle of a wonderful mountainous surrounding and at the banks of the scenic Nam Khan River. Enjoy the new perspective and the amazing nature on this 1 hr. Elephant ride. A stunning landscape, quietness, and the lush nature are the ingredients for your relaxed stay on the back of the protected Elephant. You will make your way through small forests and ride through the Nam Khan River. Afterwards a boat will bring you to the Tad Sae waterfalls (dried out between February and August). At the waterfall or the river you can hang out for some swimming and bathing in the refreshing cool water.

Lunch will be served either on the magnificent waterfalls or on the Mountain View veranda of the Elephant Village. 
The soft half day trekking (about 3-4hrs) will lead you out into a Khmu village where you get an insight in everyday life and culture of this hill tribe. The village is nestled on the foot of a big mountain range. Most of the people here are farmers and fishermen and live from their traditional way of agriculture. They even speak a different language here and your guide will help to ask questions. This village Trek is part of the ‘Fair Trek’ Project which supports seven villages in the area. It is cooperation between authorities, the villages and the operating tour company. 
Today you will be blessed with great views to the more than 1,600 meter high mountain range which is covered with dense jungle. Here is an astonishing and relaxing atmosphere. You will take a small boat on the Nam Khan River or a short walk back to the pickup point. Return to Luang Prabang.
